INCI: Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil
Jojoba oil is obtained by cold pressing the fruits of the tree. Native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico (Sonora Desert), it has a unique chemical composition. Unlike most vegetable oils, which are high in triglycerides, jojoba oil is almost entirely made up of wax esters. It also contains Ω9 fatty acids (such as oleic and erucic acid), gadelaic acid, fatty alcohols, tocopherols (vitamin E) and phytosterols. Therefore, it effectively nourishes the skin and gives emollient properties to the hair and scalp. Helps retain moisture, soothes skin conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, etc.), relieves sensitive skin, inflammation and reduces oiliness and acne.
